11-11 or Singles' Day

November 11 is Singles' Day.  In the 1990s, a group of Chinese college students wanted a cheeky way to commemorate being single, so they dubbed Nov. 11 as Singles Day. (And if you look at the numbers, it's 11/11, or 1-1-1-1.)
