Glycol or diols, such as ethylene glycol and propylene glycol belong to any of a class of organic compounds belonging to the alcohol family are colorless, odorless, and sweet-tasting (but non-caloric) fluids a.k.a. aliphatic alcohols. It's most familiar to people as an ingredient in antifreeze for automotive engines and mechanical cooling systems, cosmetic products as solvents, emulsifiers, humectants, or keratolytics. Glycol has the ability to absorb and release large amounts of heat without changing its temperature.
